Emergency Info Form Middle SchoolMarch 28, 4-6 PM — Movie night w/exotic popcorn! Come on over to the church building for some fun, fellowship, a flick, and some exotic popcorn! Kristen will have a ton of flavor-less popcorn. So bring a crazy spice to put on it! Think cinnamon, or cayenne pepper, or chocolate syrup, or dried jalapeño—make it crazy! See who will join you in eating it! We will watch The Karate Kid (come on, you LOVE this movie!!!) and have a great time. Bring a friend and a pillow! Senior HighMarch 7, 4-6 PM — Movie Night @ BLC. Come on over to the church building for some fun, fellowship, and a flick! The movie with the most “green votes” by March 3 will be the movie we watch! March 21, 3:30-6:30 PM — Fort Fun Outing! Bring $20, a friend, and a permission slip! Sign-up deadline is March 20. Attention TravelersThe senior high youth recently took part in an Urban Plunge through Urban Servant Corps. Five youth and two leaders helped Denver’s homeless population through caring conversation and service, and really grew from their experience. In fact, the experience was so positive that we have begun a relationship with the Network Coffeehouse, also known as St. James’ Urban Parish, Presbyterian. They serve coffee and food to people in need in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood every day. They also provide books, warmth, an Internet station, a laundry station, and shower facilities. One thing they need is travel-sized toiletries, especially soap, shampoo, and conditioner. We are asking those of you who travel to simply start gathering these items on your trips (or, you may purchase them if you like). One middle-school youth has already begun a toiletries drive at her school. We will collect these items in a box in the narthex, and arrange a delivery trip to Denver every two months. If you wish to be a bigger part of the Network, please e-mail or talk to Gene Tesdahl ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) about helping with delivery or preparing baked goods that could be shared there. Cookies and Soup in a Jar – Not Just for Christmas AnymoreThe BLC youth have already done well in raising funds from this project for service, activities, and outings. But we were so productive in making them that we still have a number of both cookies and soups in a jar—coincidentally, both of which are delicious. In order for them to remain so we must sell them soon, which will also help us meet our fundraising goals. We’ve swapped out the holiday fabric for new pieces of cloth with floral, birthday, and other themes so they are suitable for any occasion. The jars are in Kristen’s Youth and Household Ministry Office, across from the main office; during business hours someone will help you purchase them. On Sundays youth or youth leaders can help. They are $8 each, or two for $15, checks payable to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Our goal is to sell these out before Easter. Please help! Easter Egg Hunt!Saturday, April 3 — Kids, grab your basket and join us in the narthex at 9:30 AM as we have fun hunting for Easter eggs. The younger children (aged 1-4) will enjoy their hunt in the front of the church and the older kids (5 and up) will search for their eggs out back in the field. We hope to see you there!
