The Greatest Story: Paul (Thursday Night Bible Study)

Last year we started a new Bible study on Thursday nights using The Greatest Story series. It was well received, so we will be offering it again. This year we will study The Greatest Story: Paul.

This course is designed for everyone who wants to learn about the early Christian communities—how they developed, grew and spread around the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. We will glimpse this remarkable process through the story of the apostle Paul and his journeys. His letters and the overview of his story in the Acts of the Apostles will be the travel guide for our journey. This class will also offer us an opportunity to imagine how our personal stories intersect with God’s ongoing story. We will look at communities of people who struggled to understand what it meant to follow Jesus. One of the unique aspects of this class is the storytelling done through the visual sand art presentations.

It is a 16–week course. We will do the first eight classes in the fall. The final eight classes will be held in the winter and spring of 2013.

The class will start at 6:00 PM with a home cooked entrée (thank you, Greg Schumann!). Class members will be asked to bring a salad and dessert on a rotating basis. The study will run 6:30–7:30 PM. The cost for the participant book is $15. Please sign up now so we know how many books to order. Join us as we continue to journey in The Greatest Story.
