Get Connected!
Sunday, September 12: Rotational Sunday School starts back up. Our Adult Forums begin. The adult choir is back to help lead worship. Confirmation classes resume. We’ll be receiving a class of new members. After church, there will be a potluck lunch under the stable, including fun activities for the kids. (Nursery will be provided.) We’ll then break off into our neighborhood groups and ask for your input and suggestions on how the past year of ministry has gone at Bethlehem and seek your suggestions for the coming year. Our church council members will be facilitating those discussions.

New Circle Bible Studies
Our two women’s circles will start their new Bible study in September. This year’s study will be “The People of God: Unity in the Midst of Diversity” from Lutheran Women Today. The authors of the study will be using the engaging method of Bible study that we are learning in “The Book of Faith” initiative. The Naomi Circle meets at the church on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 AM. Marcie Smith coordinates this circle. The Deborah Circle meets at the church on the third Friday of each month at 1:30 PM. Lucille Wollman coordinates this circle.

Adult Forums
We will begin this fall’s forums with Dr. David Lose's new book Making Sense of the Christian Faith. We will explore different theological themes in the order of the Biblical story: Creation, Sin, Covenant, Law, Community, Incarnation, Atonement, Church, Holy Spirit, and Eschatology.
Do those topics intimidate you? Do they sound boring? We have learned two things from Dr. Lose: He can make difficult subjects very understandable and he is seldom boring. The class will start on Rally Day, September 12. Join us as we grow in our Christian faith..

Learn to Read the Bible
Bible Sunday is coming up on October 3! But what good is a Bible if we don’t know how to use it? There will be special Household Ministry classes on September 19 and 26 for all parents, grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, or anyone interested in helping children preschool through high school age navigate their age-appropriate Bibles. This will be a hands-on, interactive learning experience to equip all to help make the scriptures come alive in their homes.
